Wheel & Tyre Care

Clean wheels and deep black tyres make the whole car look detailed, but wheels collect the worst contamination on the car. Our wheel and tyre care range covers every step: wheel cleaners and brushes to remove brake dust, wheel coatings to keep it off, tyre shine for the finishing touch, and complete wheel kits.

Wheel & Tyre Care FAQs

How do I clean my wheels and tyres?

Work on cool wheels, one at a time. Spray wheel cleaner, agitate with tyre, barrel and face brushes, rinse and dry. Protect with a wheel sealant or coating and finish the tyres with tyre dressing.

Should I clean wheels before or after the paint?

Before. Cleaning wheels first stops brake dust and dirty water splashing onto freshly washed paint.

How do I keep brake dust off my wheels?

Apply a wheel coating or sealant. Brake dust still lands, but it releases easily, often with just a pH-neutral cleaner and rinse.

Why do my tyres go brown?

Brown tyres are caused by blooming, when protective compounds in the rubber oxidise on the surface. A tyre cleaner and stiff brush remove it before dressing.

Do I need separate tools for wheels?

Yes. Brake dust is abrasive, so use a dedicated bucket, brushes and mitt for wheels and never use them on paint.
