Terms & Conditions of Transit Cover
With millions of parcels being sent and delivered in Australia on a daily basis, especially with the increase of online shopping, deliveries can sometimes go wrong. For this reason, we provide our customers with the option to purchase Transit Cover for extra peace of mind.
At Car Care Products Australia, we strive to have your order processed and dispatched quickly and now provide you the option to purchase transit cover. This is designed for you to receive a quick claim process at Car Care Products in the event your order is lost or damaged in transit.
For an additional flat rate, calculated at checkout and dependant on the total value of your order, your parcel is insured for a replacement one, where it has been deemed lost, misplaced or substantially damaged in transit insofar as it is recognised as such by the courier.
Often if there is substantial damage caused to the parcel during transit, this will be raised by the courier, at which point, transit cover can ensure the replacement of your parcel.
If you notice significant damage to the parcel and visible leakage at the point of delivery, this will require that you refuse the parcel upon delivery (resulting in the acknowledgement by the courier of the damage).
Once the goods have been accepted by you, the items can no longer be deemed as lost or damaged in transit. We will resend the goods lost or damaged at no additional cost once we receive written confirmation by the postal or courier company that the parcel was undelivered, damaged or lost.
In the event a product in that order is limited in quantity or items are no longer available, these will be refunded back to you.
What Is Not covered
Transit Cover does not cover small leakage, spillage, or slight aesthetic damage. However, if you do experience any of the above please contact our customer service team at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will assess each claim on a case by case basis. Depending on the severity of the damage, we may replace or provide a store credit for the dollar value of the amount of product lost or damaged.
Lost in Transit
Your order will be considered “Lost” where tracking information are inconclusive (waiting periods apply) or a confirmation letter of lost article is received from the selected carrier.
Lost consignments will be either replaced with same, equivalent or your full payment refunded at the discretion of Car Care Products Australia.
Claims must be made within 14days of when goods should have been delivered.
Cover excludes order where an “Authority-to-Leave” card has been signed or deliveries re-directed by the receiver.
All claims need to be lodged via email to email@example.com only.
Damaged in Transit
Your order will be considered “Damaged” upon final inspection by Car Care Products Australia after the return of the goods from the selected carrier.
Consignment is not considered “Damaged” if external packaging is slightly damaged due to normal transit wear-and-tear during transportation.
Damaged consignments/items will be either replaced with same, equivalent or your full payment refunded at the discretion of Car Care Products Australia
Claims must be made within 7 days of when goods were received/delivered from the selected carrier.
All claims need to be lodged via email to firstname.lastname@example.org only and accompanied with supportive photos.
