The Grit Guard inserts are designed to keep dirt and debris at the bottom of the bucket, preventing swirls and scratches on the car's surface. This system not only helps to maintain a professional-grade wash system but also keeps wash water clean for longer, reducing the need for frequent bucket refills. With this 2 Bucket + Grit Guard Insert car wash system, you can ensure that your car looks its best every time you wash it.
The Grit Guard Washboard Bucket Insert is an essential accessory for car enthusiasts who want to keep their vehicles clean and free from scratches caused by dirt particles during the washing process. The unique washboard design of the insert separates dirt and grit from the wash mitt or sponge, preventing it from getting back on the vehicle's surface during washing. The raised radial surface of the washboard scrapes dirt particles off the mitt or sponge and allows them to settle at the bottom of the bucket. The insert fits most 15L buckets and is compatible with the Grit Guard Bucket Insert, which adds another layer of protection against swirls and scratches.
Included:
1 x Heavy Duty Australian Made Bucket labelled 'Wash'
1 x Heavy Duty Australian Made Bucket labelled 'Rinse'
1 x Grit Guard Insert to separate dirt in your rinse bucket that ensures the contaminants from your mitt, will fall to the bottom of the bucket and stay there thanks to the four quadrant design of the Grit Guard insert.
1 x Grit Guard Washboard Insert
Step 1: Prepare the Buckets
Start by filling each of the three buckets with an appropriate amount of water. Assign one bucket for the initial wash, another for rinsing, and the third for cleaning the wheels.
Step 2: Place the Grit Guard & Washboard Insert
Take the Grit Guard and place it at the bottom of the wash bucket. Ensure it sits securely and covers the entire bottom surface. The Grit Guard will help trap dirt and grit, preventing them from being picked up by your wash mitt or sponge.
Step 3: Add Car Wash Solution
Add an appropriate amount of your preferred car wash solution to the wash bucket. Follow the recommended dilution ratio provided by the manufacturer.
Step 4: Attach the Wash Board
Take the wash board and place it inside the wash bucket, positioning it near the Grit Guard. The wash board provides an additional surface for removing dirt and debris from your wash tools.
Step 5: Begin the Wash
Start by dipping your wash mitt or sponge into the wash bucket with the Grit Guard and wash board. Gently agitate the mitt/sponge against the wash board to dislodge dirt and contaminants.
Step 6: Wash the Vehicle
Working in sections, apply the soapy water from the wash bucket to the vehicle's surface using a back-and-forth or circular motion. Ensure thorough coverage while avoiding excessive pressure that could induce swirls.
Step 7: Rinse in the Rinse Bucket
After washing each section, rinse your wash mitt or sponge in the rinse bucket to remove any dirt and residue. Agitate it against the Grit Guard to dislodge contaminants.
Step 8: Repeat Steps 5-7
Continue steps 5-7 for the remaining sections of the vehicle, ensuring you rinse the mitt/sponge in the rinse bucket before returning to the wash bucket.
Step 9: Final Rinse
After washing the wheels, give the entire vehicle a final rinse using clean water. This will remove any remaining soap and leave a spot-free finish.
Step 10: Dry the Vehicle
Using a clean and soft microfiber towel, dry the vehicle thoroughly, starting from the top and working your way down. Pay attention to any areas where water may accumulate, such as crevices and door jambs.
Step 11: Store the Equipment
Once the car washing process is complete, clean and store the buckets, Grit Guard, wash board, and other equipment in a safe and dry place. This will ensure they remain in excellent condition for future use.
