The new Mint Protools ROD (Random Orbital Design) Yellow Cut / Polishing Pad is a 150mm foam cutting pad designed to remove light to moderate surface imperfections including swirls and light marring.

This pad suits all all large throw Random Orbital Dual Action Polishers such as the RUPES Bigfoot LHR15, Mint ProTools DT15, DAS6 or DAS6 Pro Polishers.

All Mint RDO Pads have been designed with tapered finish with a 150mm face and a 125mm velcro back to provide better control, stability and balance while polishing. Combined with a center hole to provide up to 10% cooler running during the polishing & correction process. This offers better heat dispersal to provide longer life and durability for the pads.

For best results, we recommend using this ROD 150mm Yellow Cut Polish Pad in conjunction with a quality polishing compound such as Menzerna PF2400 or Gyeon Quartz Polish to remove paint defects such as marring, swirls and other imperfections including wet sanding marks up to 2500. Suitable for harder type paints for a medium polish.

It is recommended to follow with a polishing and finishing pad with lesser polish to ensure you achieve an optimal finish.

Always start with a clean dry pad

Apply a very small amount of quality polish to the pad in a couple of pea-sized drops

Place the pad on the paint before starting the machine. 

Work within a small area of about 4-6 pads only at one time. Work the polish completely with several slow passes up/down and left/right direction to ensure the abrasives are diminshed 

Wipe off with a good quality clean microfibre cloth (one per product) 

For best results we suggest to clean the pads after each panel with an Pad Brush or compressed air to avoid any product build up in the pad, which will affect polishing performance
