The new Mint Protools ROD (Random Orbital Design) Red Final Finishing Pad is a 180mm foam finishing pad in the ROD series. Designed for achieving maximum gloss, depth and jewelling of your paintwork.
This pad suits all all large throw Random Orbital Dual Action Polishers such as the RUPES Bigfoot LHR21

All Mint ROD Pads have been designed with tapered finish with a 180mm face and a 145mm velcro back to provide better control, stability and balance whilst polishing. Combined with a center hole to provide up to 10% cooler running during the polishing & correction process. This offers better heat dispersal to provide better life and durability for the pads.
For best results, we recommend using this ROD 180mm Final Finishing Pad in conjunction with a quality finishing polish such as Menzerna SF3500 to achieve maximum gloss, depth and clarity from your paintwork.

Step 1: Prepare the Surface

Step 2: Apply the Final Finish Product
Apply a small amount of your chosen final finish product onto the Mint ProTools ROD Red Final Finish Pad. You can use a polishing machine or apply it manually, depending on your preference.
Step 3: Begin the Final Finishing Process
Start the final finishing process by gently applying the Mint ProTools ROD Red Final Finish Pad to the surface. Move the pad in back-and-forth or circular motions, applying light to moderate pressure.
Step 4: Achieve the Desired Finish
Continue working the Mint ProTools ROD Red Final Finish Pad over the surface until you achieve the desired finish. Regularly check the progress and wipe away any excess final finish product with a clean cloth to evaluate the results.
Step 5: Evaluate and Make Adjustments
After completing the initial finishing, evaluate the surface for any imperfections or areas that may require additional work. If necessary, repeat steps 2 to 4 to refine and improve the overall finish.
Step 6: Final Touches and Cleanup
Once you're satisfied with the finish, remove any remaining final finish product from the surface using a clean cloth. Inspect the surface for a smooth and glossy appearance.
