Medium Cut Polish – MCP2400 is best used with a soft polishing pad for light swirl mark removal and restoration of gloss from the cutting stage. We recommend the Mint ROD orange polishing pad or yellow light cutting pad for harder ceramic clear coat paints.
Step 1: Preparation
Before using Menzerna Medium Cut Polish 2400, it's important to properly prepare the paint surface. Wash the vehicle using soap and water, and dry it thoroughly using a microfiber towel. If necessary, use a clay bar to remove any embedded contaminants from the paint surface. For best results, use Medium Cut Polish 2400 after using a more aggressive cutting compound, such as Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 1000 or 1100.
Step 2: Apply the Polish
By Hand: Apply Menzerna Medium Cut Polish 2400 to a foam or microfiber applicator pad, using a small amount for each section of the vehicle. Work the polish into the paint using a circular motion, applying moderate pressure. Be sure to cover the entire section, and work in small sections to ensure even coverage.
By Machine: Apply 3-4 10 cent peice sized dollups of product to a medium/light cutting pad for best results. For softer paints or lighter swirl marks a lighter cutting or finishing pad can be used.
Step 3: Buff the Surface
Using a clean microfiber towel or polishing pad, buff the paint surface in a back-and-forth motion, applying moderate pressure. As you buff the surface, you should begin to see a smooth and glossy finish emerge. Continue buffing until you achieve the desired finish.
Step 4: Remove Any Residue
Using another clean microfiber towel, wipe away any leftover polish or residue. Be sure to inspect the surface for any remaining imperfections or streaks. If necessary, repeat the process until you achieve the desired level of finish.
