Autoglym Surface Detailing Clay is a professional-grade detailing clay that is designed to remove contaminants from the surface of your vehicle's paintwork. Over time, your vehicle's paintwork can become contaminated with things like tar, tree sap, and industrial fallout. These contaminants can cause damage to your paintwork and make it look dull and dirty.

Surface Detailing Clay is specially formulated to remove these contaminants, leaving your vehicle's paintwork looking and feeling like new. The clay works by gently pulling the contaminants out of the paintwork, leaving a smooth, glass-like finish. This finish not only looks great, but it also helps to prepare the surface of your vehicle for waxing or polishing.

Surface Detailing Clay is safe to use on all types of paintwork, including metallic, clear coat, and water-based paints. It can also be used on glass, chrome, and plastic surfaces. Simply follow the instructions below to achieve professional-grade results.

Step 1: Wash Your Car

Before using the Autoglym Surface Detailing Clay Kit, wash your car thoroughly with a high-quality car shampoo. This will remove any loose dirt and grime from the surface and prepare it for the clay bar treatment.

Step 2: Prepare the Surface Detailing Clay

Take the clay bar out of the packaging and knead it until it becomes pliable. Flatten the clay bar to a size that is comfortable to hold in your hand. Spray the Autoglym Rapid Detailer onto the surface of the car that you are treating. This will lubricate the surface and help the clay bar glide over it smoothly.

Step 3: Glide the Clay Bar Over the Surface

Gently glide the clay bar over the lubricated surface, applying light to medium pressure. Be careful not to apply too much pressure, as this can cause the clay bar to stick to the surface or leave scratches. Continue to work in small sections until you have treated the entire car.

Step 4: Check the Clay Bar Regularly

Check the clay bar regularly to ensure that it is clean and free of debris. If the clay bar becomes dirty, fold it over to expose a clean surface and continue to work. If the clay bar becomes too dirty, discard it and use a new one.

Step 5: Wipe the Surface Clean

Once you have treated the entire car, wipe the surface clean with a microfiber towel. The surface should feel smooth and free of contaminants.

Step 6: Apply Autoglym Rapid Detailer

Apply Autoglym Rapid Detailer to the surface to add a layer of protection and shine. Spray a light mist onto the surface and wipe it clean with a clean microfiber towel.

Step 7: Store the Clay Bar Properly

After use, store the clay bar in the plastic container provided. Make sure that it is completely dry before storing it to prevent mold and bacteria growth.
