Made from molded urethane and medium density composite foam, this backing plate has perfect flexibility and balance.

The machined alloy thread insert fits straight onto Rotary buffer’s spindles with a 14mm thread and can be used for speeds of up to 3,000 rpm.

The hook Velcro surface allows pads to be changed in seconds and because this plate fits neatly into the recess in The Edge 8" pads – there are no issues with centering. Will also work with most other 8" or 180mm foam pads.

Please Note: This backing plate is for use on Rotary Buffing Machines with a 14mm spindle. They are not for use with Random Orbital machines.

The yellow pad is the most aggressive stocked, it will cut through moderate to heavy surface marks and swirls. This pad works well on moderate to heavy oxidation and pitted finishes, and will remove wet sanding scratches without burning.

Perfect for use with quality polishes and compounds.

Suits both Rotary and Dual Action machines, attaches via the Velcro back.
