This Festool Backing Plate is excellent quality and designed to fit a standard M14 thread on Rotary Polishers.

Ideally suited to Festool RAP80 or this can also be used on RAP150 Shinex to give greater focus for small and intricate areas.

This backing plate has a thick 20mm foam cushion for optimised pressure distribution when polishing, this allows for more even results especially over contoured areas. It is perfectly paired with Festool’s range of 80mm / 4" pads, allowing a small recess to protect the surface from the edge of the pad and plate.
