If you experience odour due to moisture in the air conditioner it is a very common problem. I've experienced the problem in many different cars and 4WDs including Holden, BMW, and Honda. You position the can on the passenger floor, put the climate control on fan recirculate mode, press the can button lock-down, close the car up. The deodoriser/disinfectant is recirculated across the cooler (the "evaporator" located under dash that condensate/water falls off and drains underneath your car) and deactivates the odour-causing bacteria. Works well and I liked how quick and easy it was to use. The reason you ideally place the can on the passenger floor is because most air conditioners draw air from the passenger floor area in recirculation mode. This is a good maintenance product to use at least twice a year; once right after frequent Summer usage, then at start of Spring. It's not just for odours but is a great freshener of the system.
