Lake Country
In 1977, Jim Schneider purchased the former Milwaukee Tanning company and changed the name to Lake Country Manufacturing. Milwaukee Tanning was established in 1883 manufactured sheepskin apparel and sheepskin buffing pads. During the first decade of ownership, Jim slowly sold off portions of the company to focus solely on the automotive buffing industry. Over the past 30 years Lake Country Manufacturing has grown to offer a full line of professional buffing and polishing products for the automotive, marine, aviation and composite industries. Their products are now offered in over 50 countries worldwide and they currently hold 23 U.S. and international patents.
